TREADLIGHTLY SPORTS SHOE RECYCLING
Accent Group, our parent company, is a proud member of the Australian Sporting Goods Association.

Each year, over 25 million pairs of sports shoes are imported into Australia, with only 1% estimated to be recycled. To help reduce the amount of footwear in landfill, we partnered with the ASGA and support its TreadLightly program.

TreadLightly is a national recycling initiative that takes unwanted lifestyle footwear and responsibly recycles it in Australia to give in new life. Reclaimed materials from each shoe are broken down into crumb, which is then used to manufacture new products including gym mats, floors, and playgrounds.

Each of our stores acts as TreadLightly collection point, and you can find more information on the TreadLightly website.

There are some items that cannot be recycled due to composition, this includes leather business shoes, high heels, and steel cap safety boots. If they are in good condition, you can always donate them to an external organisation of your choice.

We prioritise quality, ethics, comfort, and style, ensuring our products and manufacturers meet our standards.

GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP
Accent Group is the Australian distributor of Skechers product, and although we do not manufacture this product directly, we work closely with our global brand partners, to ensure their sourcing frameworks align to our expectations.

Accent Group Brand Mangers, have formed relationships with their respective brands Ethical Sourcing or Compliance Managers, and in doing so, we have begun to collate key documentation from such as:
