We want you to enjoy your Skechers for as long as possible. Following some simple steps to look after them will keep them looking good, well into the future. 

1. How to protect your Skechers:
Spray your Skechers with our Skechers Waterproofing Spray prior to wear. Spray thoroughly, then leave them to dry for 10 minutes before applying a second coat. We recommend doing this after every 6-7 wears to keep them protected. 

2. How to clean your Skechers: 

• Machine Washable Skechers: Styles which specifies "Machine Washable" under it's 'Product Details' (see example below) can be safely machine washed on a gentle cycle and air-dried

• • We suggest placing them in a pillowcase or laundry bag before machine washing
  • Do not place Skechers in the dryer
  • For shoes with Skechers Memory Foam™ insoles, allow shoes and insoles to air dry for 10 to 12 hours to ensure the insoles are fully dry
    
    
    
• Nylon/Mesh Skechers (not specified as "Machine Washable"): If your Skechers are not machine washable, we do not recommend putting your Skechers into the washing machine
  

1. 1. Remove excess dirt from the upper and outsole by using a small brush or towel
   2. Create a soapy mixture by combining warm water and a small amount of laundry detergent
   3. Using a bristle brush or cloth, gently work soapy mixture into dirty areas
   4. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe off the excess soap and cleanser
   5. Allow shoes to air dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight
      
      

• Leather Skechers: Do not machine wash leather shoes
  

1. 1. Remove excess dirt from the upper and outsole by using a small brush or towel
   2. Use a leather cleaning lotion or cleanser such as our Skechers Athletic Cleanser
   3. Using a bristle brush or cloth, gently work cleanser into dirty areas
   4. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe off the excess soap and cleanser
   5. Allow shoes to air dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight
      

• Suede or Nubuck Skechers:
  

1. 1. Apply a suede and nubuck-specific 'rain and stain' protectant such as Skechers Waterproofing Spray before wearing in wet conditions
   2. Use a suede/nubuck cleaning product to clean shoes. Brush with a suede brush for best results
   3. Do not machine wash suede or nubuck shoes

• Light-Up Skechers: Machine washing light-up shoes is not advised as it may damage the lights. Clean with mild soap, warm water and a soft cloth.

3. How to deodorise and freshen up your Skechers:
Apply a deodorizing spray such as Skechers Odor Eliminator Spray to keep shoes fresh and odor-free.

Please note: Skechers that have been improperly washed or cared for will not be eligible for a faulty assessment. 

Most Skechers have insoles that are securely glued in and are not designed to be easily removed.

However, our Arch Fit range features a supportive insole designed to be easily taken out so that you can insert your own orthotic or insole.

How can I tell if a Skechers shoe features a removable insole?
Skechers that feature an easily removable insole will state this in the Product Details online. If you're shopping on your mobile phone, you can access the Product Details by clicking 'INFO' at the top right of the product photo. 

Will Skechers accommodate my orthotics? 

In Skechers that do not feature removable insoles, our Goga Mat and Memory Foam insoles are held in by about 5 points of glue. These insoles can be forcefully removed, however doing so will make them ineligible for return and will remove the cushioning which our Skechers are most famous for.

How do I use True Fit?

To use True Fit, head to the individual product listing that you're after.

Look for the  logo near the size selector and click on this to open the tool.

Once the True Fit pop-up appears, complete the required questions.

Good to know: You can add as many items as you like to your True Fit profile! The more information you provide, the more True Fit can understand your individual size.

When you have provided the required information, True Fit will recommend the size that they think will suit you best. 

Once you've completed your True Fit analysis, your sizing recommendation will pop up above the size selector on each product listing as you continue to browse. 

Can I save my True Fit Analysis?

True Fit automatically saves your analysis and recommendations on the browser and device you complete the analysis on. If you'd like to access True Fit across different browsers and devices, you can create a profile to save these details and access them at any time!

Skechers is an American brand so we primarily show US sizing. Skechers are true to size, and we always recommend purchasing your regular US size. 

To help you determine your US size, we recommend checking the size tag under the tongue of your current pair of shoes. Most shoes sold in Australia are from American brands and are therefore likely to show the US size listed together with the equivalent UK and EU sizes. 

We recommend using our comprehensive sizing guide to measure the length of your foot to help determine the US size that you need in Skechers.

STEP 1: MEASURE YOUR FOOT 

1. Lay a sheet of paper on the floor, one edge flush against the wall. Fix the paper to the floor with scotch tape so that it doesn't move. 
2. Standing straight and wearing socks, stand on the paper. Place your feet together, your heels against the wall and make sure your back is touching the wall too.
3. Have someone draw the outline of both your feet. 
   
   
4. Using a ruler or the straight edge of a book, draw a line crossways which touches the longest edge of your foot tracings. 
5. Using a ruler, draw a parallel line 0.5cm from this original line to allow for toe clearance.
6. Finally, measure the distance from the wall to the second line you have drawn.
   
   
   

STEP 2: COMPARE YOUR FOOT LENGTH TO OUR SIZE CHART

Take your measured distance (foot length + the extra 0.5cm for toe clearance) and find your corresponding US size below. The cm length in the tables corresponds to the length of the shoe's innersole. Please note that these are guides only.

Example: My foot measures 25cm. With the additional 0.5cm for toe clearance, my final length is 25.5cm. I'm buying a women's Skechers shoe so I would buy a US 8.5. If half sizes are not available, we recommend sizing up. 

Helpful tip:
Already own a pair of Skechers?
Generally sizing tends to be standard across brands, although sizes can vary slightly depending on the style, shape and material of the shoe. The size of the pair that you already own is a good guide.

Our Fit Options

• Relaxed Fit: Maintains medium width in the heel with a roomier toe box. This is equivalent to a men's D/E width or women's B/C width. 
  
  
• Wide Fit: A roomier interior offers a looser fit around the entire foot. This is equivalent to a men's 2E/3E width or a women's D width. 
  
  
• Extra Wide Fit: Maximum space means wider feet stay comfortable all day. This is equivalent to a men's 4E/5E width. 
  
  

What width are my current Skechers?
The width of your current Skechers can be found on the size label under the tongue of the shoe. The item number on the size label is a 5 digit number and begins with 'SN'. If the item number ends with a single 'W' this is a Wide Fit style, two ('WW') will indicate it's an Extra Wide Fit style.

Are they available in Wide Width?

Yes, however, this will depend on stock and seasonal availability. Our Wide Fit styles will clearly state 'Wide Fit' in the style name and list of Product Details online. 

Can I get replacement spikes?

We unfortunately don't stock or sell replacement spikes for our GO GOLF Skechers, however the GO GOLF PRO and TORQUE styles feature replaceable SoftSpikes replacement spikes. These can be purchased from most golf retailers including Drummond Golf, GolfBox, Power Golf, and via Amazon.

Squeaky shoes are often caused by moisture or friction within parts of the shoe. 

The easiest way to stop squeaky shoes is to use baby/talcum powder:

1. If possible, remove the inner sole of the shoe and loosen the laces.
2. Sprinkle baby/talcum powder on the underside of the innersole as well as inside the shoe.
3. Let the powder sit overnight to absorb any moisture. Shake out the excess powder the following day. 

If this doesn't do the trick and you believe that your Skechers may be faulty, please see HERE for instructions on initiating an assessment. 

Our Skechers Kids light up shoes are designed to last until your child outgrows them.* 

Why are the lights not working? 

• The lights have been accidentally turned off
  Youth sizes will generally have a ON/OFF button built into the design of the shoe. Check for the button around the outer ankle of the shoe or towards the end of the velcro strap. 
  
  
• The lights may not be activating
  Skechers light ups are sense activated in the heel of the shoe. If your child is light or walks on their toes, they may not be putting enough weight on the heel to activate the lights. 
  
  
• Check the position of the lights
  S Light models will light up the sole when walking while Twinkle Toes will only light up on the toes.

Good to know: 

• Batteries cannot be replaced and should last the intended lifespan of the shoe*
• S Lights should be kept dry - submerging in water may result in malfunctioning lights 

*The intended lifespan refers to the wear the child they were bought for gets out of them before they outgrow them. If the S Lights have been passed down from one child to another, the lights may no longer work which is not considered a fault.
